A short stint on the floor won't damage your mattress. But we highly recommend not leaving your mattress directly on the floor for long periods of time. Here is why:
If your mattress is constantly on the ground, it won't be able to get the proper airflow it needs to breathe. You may struggle to fall asleep due to the mattress's heat retention. If you cannot use or buy a base and must keep your mattress on the floor, then we recommend leaning it against the wall at least once a week.
